Horomela Strategy

Horomela intends to establish itself as an emerging base metal player, and to achieve this it intends to explore and develop their prospecting rights in the Northern Cape Province, acquire a stake in already producing base metal mines and to acquire advanced stage Brownfield projects.

The strategy is to be involved in all the different stages of the value chain to mitigate and manage risk. The different projects are described in the following sections.

Horomela’s strategy is to start developing mining projects from the early stages of the project value curve (Figure 1). They would want to start at applying for prospecting right from the authorities until the project goes up the value chain through discovery, basic exploration, pre-feasibility, feasibility to project commission.
The company looks into forming Strategic Equity Partnerships (SEP) with companies that have the appetite and financial capability to fund exploration and mining projects from the initial stages to the Bankable Feasibility Study stage.
